2. What data we collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:
- Registration and order data: first name, last name, email address, shipping/billing address, phone number.
- Payment data: handled directly by our payment service provider (PayPal / PrestaShop Checkout). Racing Tools never stores your full credit card details on its own systems.
- Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, collected in aggregate form by the Site, and in more detailed form by Google Analytics only if you consent to analytics cookies.
- Customization data: if you use the product configurator, the colours, logos and graphics you upload to customize your product. If an uploaded image contains personal data (e.g. a face), that image is processed only for the production of your order.
- Communications: messages you send us by email or contact form.
3. Why we process your data and on what legal basis

4. How long we keep your data
- Order and invoice data: 10 years from the date of the transaction, as required by law (Art. 2220 Italian Civil Code).
- Customer account data: until you request deletion of your account.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookie consent: your choice is remembered for 180 days, after which you will be asked again.
- Designs/customizations saved in the configurator: until you delete them from your account or close your account.
5. Who we share your data with
Your data may be shared with parties who process it on our behalf or independently, to the extent necessary to provide the service:
- Hosting: ARUBA S.p.A. (Italy), hosts the Site and the database.
- Payments: PayPal / PrestaShop Checkout, processes card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Pay in 4 payments. Bank transfer via our bank.
- Shipping: BRT, UPS, DHL, receive the data needed for delivery (name, address, phone).
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics), only if you consent to analytics cookies.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Meta/Facebook Pixel), only if you consent to marketing cookies.
- PrestaShop SA, the e-commerce platform provider, for technical services related to the modules used.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Data transfers outside the European Union
Some of the parties listed in point 5 (in particular Google and Meta, and to some extent PayPal) may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. In such cases the transfer takes place on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other adequate safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
7. Your rights
At any time you can ask Racing Tools for:
- Access to your personal data;
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure of your data (within the limits of legal obligations, e.g. tax-related);
- Restriction of processing;
- Portability of your data in a structured format;
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interest;
- Withdrawal of consent at any time (newsletter, cookies), without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, write to info@racingtools.it. You can also manage the export or deletion of some of your data directly from your customer account.
If you believe the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
